Kanye West – Heartless

Kanye Wests Second single has dropped and Im definitely  feeling this from the Jump unlike “Love Lockdown”, which I eventually dug after many listens.

“Love Lockdown” in my opinion was channeling Nina Simone way to hard.  Nina Simone IS that beautiful darkness that most brilliants artists wish they could hide behind when they drop music to deep to be understood or felt from the jump.

But I Digress.

Love Lockdown is somewhat brilliant in a conceptual and technical way.

But Yeezy, From real KNEE GROW to real KNEE GROW. You were trying to hard.

This Joint (Puff Puff) WIll continue to get burn for weeks to come.

The Hook is on some “Once upon a time” type shit which makes it such a breath of fresh air; But the verses are so hip hop it will please many different crowds. Both with its musical vibe and content. Which is great, cause music should be universal.

It is obvious to see Kanye has hit a new level with his song writing that many of these so called rappers never really breach.

I hold up my bottle of Mississippi Mudd to Kanye West for the fact he’s trying to be the madonna of our time by totally re-inventing his image time and time again.

Remember, anything that stagnates dies.  And I don’t see Kanye ceasing to exist anytime soon.
