Hustler Europe has hired Media Protector to locate and prosecute individuals who host and share Hustler videos online. Media Protector would connect to file sharing networks and log the IP’s of individuals sharing files in order to build a case against them. Media Protector then works with lawyers to force ISP’s to gain personal information on the individual sharing files, so that they can be ordered to pay a settlement for their illegal behavior.

Media Protector founder & Managing Director Rainer Strassmeir explained that stringent anti piracy was the only way to reverse the action by placing fear in the hearts of those who partake in illegal file sharing.  When a company like Hustler comes to Media Protector for protection, he claims that it’s known within the marketplace and reduces piracy as well as increasing retail sales of the item.

Recently Media Protector’s come under fire when a leecher on the BitTorrent network recently used a client which only allowed their client to download, causing the case against them for sharing (or uploading) the file to fall apart.

And perhaps it makes sense considering that Hustler if they indeed believed Strassmeir, would like to see an increase in their retail sales, though is the price of hiring Media Protector going to offset this miniscule, if not alltogether bogus increase in sales? Think about it.
