draketour“Thoughts like, if she end up my baby mother fine/’cause we only use a rubber like every other time”

Happy french friday errrbody. New Lil’ Wayne And Drake going in over a very hard sample. Their flows are pretty dope through out the song. Very unorthodox but they pull it off well. Professionals. Anybody catch that Lil’ Wayne behind the music last night? I didnt, but ill catch the re run. Take it easy, its the weekend.

Drake Feat. Trey Songz -”Successful” Video

This video is definitely better than the Kanye directed soft porn video,”Best I Ever Had.” They kept the visuals dark and dramatic, exactly like the song feels. Trey’s verse that replaces Lil’ Wayne’s is actually pretty dope too. I’ve always thought Trey was a great R&B artist. He’s always been a lot more edgier, I feel, than the other cats. Dude has gone publicly on record saying he doesn’t mind choking chicks during sex (If they ask for it of course). He’s taken R&B “G” status to a whole ‘nother level with that revelation about his sexual prowess alone. Step your baby making game up!

But I digress. This video came out just like it should have. Lets hope Drake doesn’t make another video blunder and keeps his video catalog as consistent as his musical one.

I think this song is decent. You know, it is what it is. Jay goes in on it, and the Drake’s hook is well…ok but the real reason I’m posting this song is because it has been causing a lot of controversy and taking a lot of flack. For one, from what it sounds like on the track, he calls his own wife a Hoe. Beyoncé, by anyone’s standards, is definitely not a Hoe. I know plenty and they definitely don’t have her desire, drive, and ambition. Dude is like 38 and needs to grow up with all the Hoe talk. No one is going to question your swagger status, if you replace “Hoe” with Wife. Beyoncé is quite arguably one of the baddest chicks in the history of female entertainers and women period, but I’ll leave this discussion to a top notch Black Feminist blog to chop it up about.

He also goes at Rush Limbaugh as well. Because well, Rush Limbaugh is a fuckin’ joke. He’s just another crony thats uses his voice to further push Middle America back into the Middle Ages with his rhetoric. Rush Limbaugh is one of americas best disinformation specialists. Rush’s responses to Jay was:

I would remind the rapper Jay-Z; Mr. Z, it is President Obama who wants mandated circumcision. We had that yesterday. That means if we need to save our penises from anybody, it’s Obama. I did not know I was on anybody’s balls.

And even Bill O’reilly had to chime in and make his comments.

It’s like they can attack “us” but we can never attack “them”. America is only as strong as the foundation it’s built on, like anything else in life. So if racism were to be abolished today, America would not be the same place its always been, because that is what its built on in reality. America is also built on the idea of Capitalism. If a whole group of Africans were never forced into slavery as a way of free labor, America would not be what it is today, period. Racism, whether overt or covert, is just a moral and emotional issue though, which in itself which isn’t tangible. Its when racism has an economic effect on a person or group of people does it really become a problem.

Jay should be trying indirectly get back at these fools by providing economic equality for his people as opposed to firing emotional “shots” at these dudes. It just gives them fuel to further their agenda. Jays shots will never have an economic effect on the people Limbaugh and O’Reilly cater to, but their shots could in the long term have an effect on the people Jay “Represents”.

Of course I’m on Jay’s side on this one, but his methods for attack are out dated and serve no real purpose in the grand scheme of things.

Jay, leave the lyrical lacerations to other rappers such as Joe budden and The Game. If you ever really want to be the “hood’s Barack” and really hit people like Rush Limbaugh and Bill O’Reilly where it hurts, you’ll have to pony up some of the $300 million your worth to organize and establish ways to create economic equality for your people once and for all, instead of firing blanks at agents of the establishment which, when they band together, are more powerful than you.

Jay you lost twice in this song. Calling our women Hoes and and using dated ways of attacks at your enemy’s – we “Off That”.

Birdman feat. Drake & Lil Wayne – Money To Blow

birdman-ringtones

“Watch that Pidgeon Poop, Stunna”

Birdman does the smartest thing he could do – get Drake and Lil Wayne on a song with him. Drumma Boy on the beat delivering an infectious late summer joint. Don’t you love it when people make songs about how the recession isn’t affecting them?
