6:47, One of the homies who was responsible for bringing the “Money Isn’t Real” Tee to fruition recently dropped a dope mixtape early to set the tone for the rest of the year. The tape has an old school/new school vibe which is perfect for all the Nostalgic ”golden era” heads and all the fresh kids that just want banging beats to make their head nod.

The moment he decided that he was going to make Hip-Hop his career took place at exactly 6:47.  As he sat in a room thinking of a moniker to represent himself and his music he looked at a clock that read 6:47 and jokingly suggested he choose that time as his stage name. Fellow artist s3h and Quality laughed but agreed that name represented a significant point in time and would be perfect. He never considered keeping the name but like many nicknames, continued use just made it stick. He adopted 6:47 as a stage name and as time passed he was approached by his mother who asked him why he chose that name, he explained to her the story and she replied, “That’s Ironic, you were born at 6:47.”

I usually never post on saturday, but halloween can bring out the freak in us and that must be happening right now. IM POSSESSED! Psych, but I do possess some halloween inspired gems I want to share with all my Flawless Hustlers.

Da Bottom, always on the pulse of fresh, recently released this Halloween tee inspired tee called, “Hype Brings Death“. The shirt has a really dark feel and totally puts you in the mood for some ghoulish activity.  You can pick up the tee over at Da Bottom’s Online Store now.

Also, I’ll be attending the Neck Face’s galley opening at the O.H.W.O.W gallery which should be a truly demonic experience. Check out an excerpt from the press release:

This Halloween night, Neckface will deconstruct all 10,000 square feet of O.H.W.O.W. and build a world like no other. Featuring a large-scale haunted house installation, complete with Neckface’s iconic imagery, the Devil’s Disciple exhibition is designed to frighten viewers as they enter the space.

What it do party people! We have the freshest of the fresh tee’s this week. And were starting off with a selection from my homie Gabe. He chose the Original Fake “Halloween Monster Tee.”($?) The Original Fake character opposite a Werewolf reflection is dope. Gabe Said:

Classic Kaws character, dope classic horror movie font and image of the wolf man – graphic has fresh ghostly glow. Drawbacks: not for sale anywhere in the U.S. – gonna run you about $100. Still a dope tee though; I almost bought it myself but then I was like $100 for a tee? Nahhhh

I feel you. The tee went on sale on the 10th of october, so finding one might be hard. But you might want to try the sales department of the Invicible East store in Taiwan(sales@invincible.com.tw). They still might have a couple of them “Thang Thangs” in the stash.

My favorite tease this week is our “Money Isn’t Real” tee($TBA) that dropped in association with our compilation, “Money Isn’t Real”. We’ll be giving a couple of them away, so keep your eyes open for that. I really dig it for the message and how the money is off center in the lower left corner. The cats at Dabottom clothing(What up T and Six!) did a great job with this tee. And we did a great job with our compilation. So make sure to download it and enjoy some music made to get you through this recession.

Now this shirt is dope(Pun intended). Khal’s pick this week is the “Dopey” Tee. The shirt by Dope Couture features Dopey of the seven dwarves with a scarf over his face($29). Just putting the scarf on buddy gives him a slight sinister look. It’s limited to 75 pieces in two colorwars – One in black and one in white. Cop it from the Dope Couture web store.

If you don’t know who the internet celebrities are, Google them. Their probably the funniest duo doing it right now. Sheer brilliance on film. shout out to Khal for bringing this to my attention. I’d love to go on and on about the “Bodega Food Pyramid” tee($13), But I think it would better to watch the video that inspired the shirt. You’re welcome.

And last but not least, is Hav’s pick which is the “Good Greens” tee($34). T.I.T.S is probably one of my favorite brands doing it right now. They go for the graphics that will get a knee jerk reaction everytime. And when you put hot chicks into the mix, you already know its a done deal. Heres what Hav had to say about the tee:
