House of the Setting Sun
I was scurrying through the web the other day and decided to hit up vice for old time sake. Im sure there are many that read this mag to balance their virtues. I know I do.
VBS.TV did a series on elderly prostitutes and it was a lot better than I had thought it would be. Listen, I’m no simp, but I sympathize with women to a degree when it comes to their sexuality and how much they have to act like it doesn’t exist. while we as men use sex as our calling cards. Its one of the main reason, Im proud to be a man, to be honest. But over time, If your a hustler moonlighting a player, many a sexual escapade, after reflection, can seem like crimes against humanity. Maybe thats me. My pension for vice leaves me with no regrets, but my virtues leave me with remorse. Just the balance of life.
Many of the prostitutes never really got into the professions just because getting paid for quick flings. Alot of the residents living at the house of beautiful flowers were pushed in. Some couldn’t afford to finish 4th grade and started at 13 to help feed their families. Pushed in by economic pressures. Pushed in because their seemed to be no way out.
Now in the twilight of their life, many of the women still “Turn tricks” because its all they’ve learned and know how to do. It’s just human nature to stick to what you know and whats easiest. American girls can pay for their college while secretly holding down jobs as strippers and escorts, move onto more prestigious careers, all while not being worried about being stigmatized by what they had to do to get by. But you and I know it cant be that easy in mexico. Now you can see why I want to spit on chicks like Ashley Dupre.
I guess I feel for the ladies, because I know that just sometimes this is just how life works. Ive comes to the realization recently, that everyone wants to be, but cant be great. More on that at a later date. But even though we like to think we have control over our life, many a situation were pushed into. Pushed to do whatever it takes to survive out of necessity.
My heart goes out to these ladies, because it just wasnt in their lifes path, to live a life as privileged as yours or mine.
Part 2 and 3 after the jump.
