Shafiq Husayn (SA-RA) – “Lil Girl” Free Download

Shafiq Husayn, one third of the group, SA-RA, is dropping his solo debut LP entitled “Shafiq En A-Free-Ka” this October via Plug Research. Many are unaware of the depth of Shafiq’s history, as he was an integral producer for Ice T during his Sire/Warner days as well as working with folks like Lord Finesse for his “Return of the Funky Man” LP.

“Shafiq En A-Free-Ka” is definitely a more mature album from the Master Teacher, as he dives into various genres of music, while keeping the same aesthetic that has proven successful for Shafiq and the group SA-RA. Filled w/ lush orchestrations, precise drum programming, and features from the likes of Bilal, Count Bass D, and new comers Fatima and Noni Limar, “Shafiq En A-Free-Ka” will definitely be one of the best front to back albums this Fall.

The first leak features UK bred Fatima for the joint “Lil Girl.” This is one of the most “hip hop friendly” joints as well as one of my favorites from the album, featuring Shafiq’s off kilter drum programming and the amazing vocals from singer Fatima.
