The Lupe Fiasco freestyles that have been leaking lately are straight dope. His flows on each sound different than what were used too. They almost sound like he’s trying to take the simple flows that are popular right now and stuff them with fresh lyrics which, in my opinion, is a dangerous combination. He’s saying things on the record which are so potent yet so much fun to listen too. Him and Jay Electronica need to do a joint album together on some Talib Kweli and Mos Def shit. How fresh would that be? Ah, it makes no sense getting my hope up for nothing. In the mean time, i’ll be bumping these Lupe joints on repeat for the next week. Check ‘em out.
