This documentary looks dope.  Being from the Bay Area, I’ve seen firsthand how Independent artists take destiny into their own hands and generate income from their music even though the industry’s doors have been shut in their faces.  The fact is, artists make more money the less the record label is involved and with the popularity of mp3 players and music being easily attainable via the Internet, labels aren’t making the money they used to.
