eBay & Craigslist Hackery
Those of you who use EBay will probably be familiar with bidding on a item only to have that item stolen from you in the closing seconds of the auction. You’ve probably thought the culprit was someone meticulously refreshing their browser and one-upping you in the last minute. Not the case.
Take a look at Auction Sniper or eSnipe. Bid sniping as it’s been coined has been around almost as long as EBay itself. This software (which includes a free trial) automates the process allowing you to gank the winning bid from someone else effortlessly. I know a few people who swear by this and will only buy from eBay using the sniper method.
Feel bad dicking fellow bidders around? You can always take advantage of the faults of the sellers.
Fat Fingers is one example of a search engine which will take common misspellings of words and find your item and it’s misspelled iterations on eBay. This often times leads to a less intense bidding war because of fewer bidders.
Not a fan of eBay?
There’s a new freebie search engine for Craigslist which will find you the free items you’re looking for. I’ve searched movie tickets and food and found success. The search results are for most major cities so if you live in or by one, you’re in luck. Comizo is just the thing for you.
