Brad Luck: Okay. So who are you and what do you do?
Baby Sinead: “Baby” Sinead McCarthy. I’m a photographer, adult performer, nude model, writer/blogger but above all I am a muse and I am an artist.
BL: Sweet. I heard about you through Burning Angel. How did you get your start in the adult industry?
BS: Burning Angel was my first ever nude shoot at 18 and my first hardcore BG(boy/girl) scene at 20. I respect what they do hence why they have been my firsts. The rest of my work I owe to my hustle. I can self promote like a mother fucker, if I want something bad, it’s mine. I never rest unless I feel accomplished.
BL: A lot of people with mad talent always go undiscovered because they don’t know how to self promote. I read your blog pretty much everyday. how much of your success would you contribute to the whole blog culture?
BS: I’ve been on the Internet since I was nine. By ten I made website. By 11 I was a blogger. The Internet has always been key to my connections with others. I got serious about blogging and how it can be a major marketing tool when I was 19. It developed slowly into a true sex blog. I was one of the first alt girls to take blogging Seriously. I have had a lot of amazing opportunities because of it. Girls bite my steezy hard but it doesn’t effect me, I’m always ahead of the game.
BL: You also said that you’re an artist. Your site always has grip of pictures up. How long have you been doing the photography thing and do you work with any other mediums?
BS: I’ve been a photographer since I was 9. I’ve worked in sculpture since I was 6. Paint and pencil since forever. I was born into art. It’s the only thing that came naturally to me.
BL: That’s dope that you’ve kinda transcended the whole porn vs art thing. I dig that you’re able to find that fine line and walk it with grace. Who are some of your favorite people to work with in front of and behind the camera?
BS: In front – The Lovely Brenda, Daze, Baurby Rhue, Richard Kern. They understand sexuality and present it raw, and beautiful. Behind, my favorite models are Randy Island, Ariel and a new girl Stina Anne.
BL: Anything funny ever happen during a shoot? Slip and falls? Farting during a scene?
BS: Oh god, I’ll give you the worst. I was doing a pissing shoot for the first time. First off I miss the girls mouth and go in her eyes! Then I do a solo pissing scene and I was pushing so, so bad to piss..that I actually popped out a bit of poo. I’m a girl though so my poo is actually made of rare pearls. I grabbed the pearls before anyone saw them and pawned them off on my way home.
BL: That’s hilarious. How did you get into the pissing shit? Is that something you’re into at home or is it just a for the camera type of thing?
BS: Craigslist and love of doing the weirdest fucking shit I can for money. It’s a fetish of mine to push the limits of what I do for money. No shame.
BL: That’s fantastic. Craigslist casual encounters is one of the best things on the Internet. Some of the adds in there are pure comedy. Since I’m terrible at transitions what type of music are you into? What record comes on when its time to get down. What type of shit are you bumping on the way to a shoot to get pumped up?
BS: I love classic rock, I grew up on 104.3 and still listen to this day. I enjoy Electro too. I love Madvillian. Team Facelift, those are some crazy boys. No Doubt – Tragic Kingdom, first CD I brought – still loyal. Some nasty hardcore is good in moderation. Oh man and I love wholesome music from the 40s-60s. I listen to a big melting pot of music, it’s all over the place.
BL: That Madvillian album is fantastic. I’m a nerd I’ve got the action figure sitting on top of my TV right now. I read on your blog that your newly single. Is it tough keeping a significant other when you’re in the adult industry? Whats dating like?
BS: It’s not tough at all if anything it’s too easy. I haven’t been single for more than two months since I was 17. I’m 21 now. I’ve actually taken a vow not to have a relationship for one year. It’s time to take the time for me. I’m a very loving person but I need some me time. I want to be selfish relationship wise for a bit.
BL: So in other words, I guess the toy reviews you do are gonna be updated more often.
BS: That is a hope for the new year. I have a drawer waiting to be waiting to be reviewed, but nothing beats my fingers!
BL: I always thought toys were kinda weird. like I’ve always used toys with girls I was with for a while. It add something else. Solo I’ve never had any interest in having like a pocket pussy. I always thought that was kinda weird. I’m not into the idea of having to dump it out and clean it. I know you’ve chilled on partying but what are your spots to kick it at in NYC?
BS: In NYC I’m big on Kings County for drinks. I love Pastis for a good lunch. Otherwise its my crib!
BL: You always put pictures of your apartment up on your blog. Your house is awesome. What inspired you to decorate the way you do? Like the television with no screen.
BS: My home is my expression of my brain. It will never be perfect but I try to bring it as close as possible.
BL: What are your plans for 09?
BS: Everything is pretty” top secret”, or more me just wanting to surprise people! I can say that my blogs on babysinead.com and missbehavemag.com are going to get more emotional and in-depth. I want to break barriers. The official launch of my photography site is going to happen end of March. I’m also planning on getting into volunteer work again. I have a lot in store this year but I’m also taking it easy and relaxing. I need to meditate a lot to reach the level I am searching for.
BL: Are you making a living off of porn and art or do you have a 9 to 5 aside from that?
BS: My blog and random jobs pay the bills. I’m not balling but I’m good. I get a lot of freebies too!
