House Dance International 2008

Peace house heads, and dancers alike. This year marked the 2nd annual House Dance International (HDI), in NYC. For those that don’t know, it’s a battle on the floor for supremacy in a balls to the wall, show em you got soul fashion that only house music can inspire.

The competition features five categories of competition, House Dance, Vogue, Experimental, Hustle and Waacking. Those of you familiar with the NYC house scene have probably had some first hand experiences with most if not all of the styles.

The event was conceived by Santiago Freeman, and co-produced by REDness, a homie I used to promote for at the event Soulgasm NYC.

The Judges for this years event include Hector Xtravaganza (Vogue); Akim Funk Buddha (Experimental); Voodoo Ray (House); David Husney (Hustle); Tyrone Proctor (Waacking).

Hosted by Ejoe Wilson, one of the most influential house dancers alive (and brother to REDness!).
