FH Exclusive: Iron African – “Poison Ego” Free Download

While you see a lot of our hard work on the front-end (and thank you for the continued support over the last few years), this next phase is on some “how Flawless Hustle spent its summer” type shit. After the jump, learn more about this project, and grab the first leak!

On Monday, October 19th, we’ll be releasing Money Isn’t Real, the first of many projects featuring fresh cuts from an impressive list of artists within the Hip-Hop community, including hot rhymes and dope beats from Blockhead, Bisco Smith, Mike Schpitz, Versis, Keelay & Zaire, Crew54 and the A-Alikes, among many other hot spitters and producers. The theme of money not being real is manifested through different means on this compilation, which makes how each artist flipped the concept very interesting.

The first leak is also the first single, Iron African‘s “Poison Ego”. This one is a perfect banger for the cold weather brewing, where dark nights on subway steps can turn into nightmarish encounters of animal instincts. Where the normal, everyday 9-to-5er becomes a “victim”, and a nigga turns into a ruthless villain, ducking the fuzz on the eternal quest to feed their seeds or just live left of society. Cool mixture of piano-stabs and crispy boom-bap. Blast this one LOUD on the train, and reminisce on those who keep it gritty and grimy, soldiers in the urban war. The Iron African was born in Uganda, but has also spent time in New York City before settling in Sweden. He’s been heavily involved in the four pillars of Hip-Hop, and has been putting out music since 2000. His latest release is the Late Bloomer EP, which “Used To Love Her” is the single for.
