BKRW Interviewed Dalek just before his show with Mike giant opened and got to talk to him about his new style, tattoos, sneakers and what inspires him. It’s pretty dope and gives you a really good look into Dalek’s style.

In case you don’t know, Dalek was an assistant to fame pop culture artist, Takashi Murakami for a number of years. During his apprenticeship, he developed his distinctive style of strong colors separated by geometrical shapes. He also created the iconic space monkey character that became a main staple of his art, which looks like “a catatonic, twisted monkey.” His art has been featured in every kind of medium from sneakers to skateboards. And has been covered, critiqued and celebrated by a number of magazines.
